I was thinking on implementing that, but I didn't need to use it, so I didn't.

But, I'd welcome, if someone wrote that as a patch. Maybe adding vlan functionality would be also good.
I am quite busy these days, so it will have to wait for my attention maybe to Q2/Q3 of 2010.
